Mt. Hope Outdoor Ministry Projects
A lot has happened since the Stewardship Committee took on the task of these projects.
Phase I - Provided better access to the shelter, and swings were installed; completed.
Phase II - Installed electronic sign; completed.
Phase III - Buy and install equipment for small and large playgrounds.
Sunday, November 10, 2019 the congregation voted unanimously to purchase the playground equipment for Phase III. A deposit has been made and contract signed. After Sunday we have enough funds to purchase the playground equipment. We still need funds to provide rubber mulch, curbing and fencing. We have some fundraisers coming up and hope you will support this project.

Dear Beloved,
Please take a moment to read the following letter from Brenda Currie, custodian of Mt. Hope for nearly 25 years.
My Dear Mt. Hope Family,
I would like to thank you for allowing me to clean our church for the past twenty-plus years. I started in June of 1995 working with Maxine Neese for M&M Cleaning Company. When Maxine retired I continued with M&M for a short time. Talking with the trustees at that time, I agreed to take it over if the consistory agreed, they did and I took it over. As they say, the rest is history. I think that was around 2004.
The time has come that I must give it up, due to age and health. I can no longer do the job without pain and to the standard I have set. Everyone knows my knees are giving me pain even though I have had surgery on my left knee and the right one needs surgery also. I have arthritis in both so the pain is still there and walking up and down the steps is getting harder to do. So at the end of December I will be giving up my duties as custodian of Mt. Hope Church.
This is bitter sweet and a little scary. Some things I’ll miss, like the special times with the quilting ladies. Girls, I’ll drop by sometimes and who knows, maybe, I’ll come help besides stuffing bears for Victory Junction.
I ask you to pray for me during this change in my life and as always I’ll keep you all in my prayers as we both continue on our journey in C
