Friends & Neighbors Activities - have been temporarily suspended due to Covid-19

The Friends and Neighbors "over 60" group meets the third Tuesday of each month during the school year. We enjoy the fellowship of our group, welcoming new friends, hearing good speakers, sharing fun activities, having lunch together, and supporting local food ministries. See our meeting schedule on this site for upcoming activities.
On a recent trip we enjoyed visiting the historic Duke Homestead in Durham, NC where we learned about the history of tobacco in NC, the "golden leaf ," and the Duke family.
Earlier trips include Mt. Airy (where we enjoyed visiting the Andy Griffith Museum, Goober's Service Station, the jail, and other memorabilia); Shatley Springs in Crumpler, NC , and the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. We also enjoy presentations from speakers and musicians.
Following are some photos of our activities.
